Hey everybody! How are y'all doing??? This week has been a long one
but a good one here in Kentucky.
We had exchanges at the end of Monday through the evening of Tuesday
last week. Exchanges are where one companion (Hermana Starling this
time) stays in your area and one of her sister training leaders(STL)
comes and works in the area for a day. The other companion (me this
time) goes to the area of the other STL and stays for the day. It's
actually a really good idea, to get to know other people and to learn
different ways of doing missionary work. My STL that I went with was
named Hermana Butterfield. She has been out on her mission for 17
months and is a Super amazing missionary. I was so impressed with her
testimony and her willingness to talk with everyone. She was also
super caring and showed me that she cared about me. During our
companionship study we talked about how much potential we all have to
have success on the mission. We wrote down things we want to
accomplish while we are here. Next, we talked about what kind of
things would prevent us from reaching those goals. It was really cool
to think about and learn ways to be the best servants of the Lord that
we can be. We need to eliminate all the things that could prevent us
from living up to our potential, and take advantage of the blessings
we have been given. But that doesn't only apply to missionaries, it
applies to everyone. God has given us amazing blessings- talents,
gifts, abilities, time, family, the gospel, and so much more. What are
we doing with the things we have been given? Are we using them to
bless other people? To bring people happiness? To find Jesus Christ?
And are we thankful for everything we have been given? It's
definitely a thought provoking question. I know that I can definitely
improve. This week, I invite you all to think of one thing God has
blessed you with, and find a way you can use it to help someone else.
And I would like to hear about your experiences, so please do it and
respond before next Monday. God will bless you for it :) I love you
all :) Have a great week!
