Here are a few pictures from my first week in the MTC!! It has been an amazing experience. I have decided to write a short group email going over things I have learned and main highlights of the mission to send to everyone.
Overall the main thing I have learned is that the gift of tongues is real. I came in speaking hardly any spanish, not really being able to carry on a conversation. Now, after only 6 days, my 2 companions and I have taught 3 lessons in Spanish to our investigator Lalo. The first one was really hard, but we have been improving since. I know there is no way I could have learned so much without God's help and his spirit.
The spirit is so strong here and I have loved every minute. :) I am so excited to serve the Lord for the next year and a half.
I have also learned that when you go on a mission, you don't all of a sudden become an amazing missionary. When people come home from their missions, they are so amazing, but that comes through every day study, prayer, and trusting in the Lord. I know that I can improve as I do my best every day.
